Point Reyes National Seashore: wind-sculpted dunes, fog that rolls in like clockwork, a few hundred elephant seals doing their own thing.

Limantour is ~1.5 hours north of San Francisco. The last forty minutes are slow and beautiful. Build in extra time.
Fly into San Francisco International (SFO). Rental cars at the airport; Oakland (OAK) also works and is sometimes cheaper. Allow at least 2 hours from wheels-down to lodge check-in.
From the city, take 101 → Sir Francis Drake Blvd → Bear Valley Road → Limantour Road. The last stretch is winding and slow. No reliable cell signal once you're in the park, so download offline maps before you leave.
For the adventurous: Caltrain to SF, then ride through Marin.
Strong currents. A wetsuit is recommended. (don't.)
A few things people have asked. If you don't see yours, text us.
We love your kids and we're keeping this one to adults only. Babes-in-arms (under one) are an exception. Let us know on the RSVP and we'll plan accordingly.
The lodge is a working national-park property and pets aren't allowed inside. Sorry, Bandit. Outdoor leashed dogs on Limantour Beach itself are fine for day-of-walks.
Long dresses, linen or wool suits, anything you'd wear to a nice dinner that won't blow away in 15-knot fog. Sand-friendly shoes for the ceremony; you'll want something else for dinner. No black tie.
Lodge: Friday from 4pm, out by Sunday 11am. We can usually accommodate early arrivals; text Stu.
The lodge has a small lot; please double-up where you can. Day-of ceremony parking is at the beach lot. We'll shuttle anyone who'd rather not drive after dinner.
A sleeping bag, a warm layer, a swimsuit, and sand-tolerant shoes. The lodge has linens but not bedding. There's a stocked common kitchen all weekend.
Covered: Friday's beach bonfire (snacks & drinks), Saturday's hors d'oeuvres + dinner reception at Black Mountain Ranch, and Sunday morning lattes at the lodge. Lunches: BYO or grab-and-go from Palace Market or Bovine Bakery in Point Reyes Station.
Black Mountain Cycles in Point Reyes Station rents gravel and road bikes by the day; reserve ahead. Cycle Analysis in Inverness has hybrids for casual riders. Both are about 15 minutes from the lodge.
No fireworks, no drones, no smoking inside. Quiet hours after 11pm: windows are thin and the wedding party rises early. Be kind to the wildlife; this is their place, we're guests.
